Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman say repairs are underway on the damaged sewer line in Baldwin that caused part of Grand Avenue to collapse and sent sewage water spilling into backyards and a nearby creek.
Work had been delayed because Nassau County was waiting on a part to be delivered.
Blakeman says work is expected to continue around the clock until the job is done add that it could take another five days.
