Suffolk Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison announced Monday that investigators took numerous items from Rex Heuermann’s Massapequa Park home.
Reports had said that there was a soundproof room discovered, however, Harrison says there is no such room. He did say there was a vault where investigators say Heuermann secured numerous amounts of guns.
Harrison said investigators are going into every single crevice of the house to make sure nothing is missed.
Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder says the crime scene will be wrapping up in the next 24 to 48 hours.
Ryder is also urging the public not to visit Heuermann’s home or drive by and take photos once the crime scene wraps up. He says those who do will get a summons.
