A police cruiser was rammed by a kidnapping suspect in Manhasset shortly after 12 p.m. on Monday
Investigators say the male suspect was holding a woman against her will in the passenger seat of a vehicle in Glen Cove. Police attempted to stop the car. The pursuit led police into Manhasset, where authorities say the suspect intentionally crashed into a patrol car.
The suspect then let the female victim go and continued driving. Police say his current whereabouts are unknown.
No one was injured during the chase, or as a result of the crash.
