A person was fatally struck by a train near the Copiague station Monday afternoon according to a spokesperson for the MTA.
The person, who was not identified, was struck by an eastbound train shortly before 1:30 p.m.
Both tracks on the Babylon branch of the Long Island Rail Road are operating, but with scattered delays and cancellations.
