Edwin Rodriguez a onetime member of the MS-13 gang pleaded guilty Wednesday to his role in the 2017 murders in Central Islip of four suspected rival gang members who supposedly disrespected MS-13 in their social media postings.
After committing the murders, Rodriguez was a fugitive from justice before he was arrested in El Salvador and extradited to the United States in 2022. He pleaded guilty to racketeering and faces a sentence of up to life in prison.
