Police in both Suffolk and Nassau counties shut down street takeover events Saturday that resulted in dozens of summonses and three arrests.
Suffolk police say 40 cars were at the Ronkonkoma Long Island Rail Road station parking lot Saturday night . Officers were able to stop the activity and arrested two people.
Nassau police stop what was described as a “large-scale illegal vehicle rally and possible street takeover” on Stewart Avenue in Uniondale shortly after 9:30 p.m. Saturday. One arrest was made.
