Officials say Port Jefferson Harbor has been contaminated with partially treated sewage and residents are urged to ‘avoid contact’ with the water until Wednesday.
Early Monday, the Port Jefferson Sewage Treatment Plant accidently discharged about 30,000 gallons of sewage that was no completely treated.
