You most likely know John Ford Coley as the name that follows “England Dan and…,” and we play a number of his (or, their) songs on WHLI. Songs like “I’d Really Love To See You Tonight” and “Love Is The Answer” are core songs in the Yacht Rock genre.
Together, England Dan & John Ford Coley released eleven albums during their career, with six singles making the Top 40 charts. After going their separate ways, John began an acting career, with many television and film credits. He also co-produced artists, including Long Island’s own Eddie Money.
WHLI’s Rob Rush caught up with John, talked about his new autobiography “Backstage Pass,” and talked about the Yacht Rock The Dock concert, October 25 at Tilles Center, with Ambrosia and Peter Beckett of Player.
